Hansville Real Estate

Hansville is an unincorporated community in Kitsap County, Washington, United States that feels more like a community than a town. It’s located on the northern tip of the Kitsap Peninsula affording sweeping views of Admiralty Inlet, Whidbey Island, and Puget Sound. The village has a store, a post office, a church, waterfront parks and a handful of other businesses. Scenic 157-acre Buck Lake County Park and Point No Point Light House and its surrounding 60-acre park are on either side of the small commercial area in town.

Hans Zachariasen was one of the first settlers and for whom Hansville is named soon after the Light house on Point no Point was built by Francis James in 1880.

About a 3 minute drive to the west takes you to an area known as “Driftwood Keys” where there is a private marina in Coon Bay which opens just south of Foulweather Bluff to the Hood Canal. The Driftwood Key Club operates the marina for members and provides a boat launch, pool, and clubhouse as well.

The wildlife viewing and bird watching is abundant. Fishermen enjoy catching salmon from the beach while taking in the views and watching the parade of marine traffic. This picturesque rural community enjoys some of the areas lowest rainfall totals in Kitsap County, making it an ideal outdoor recreation site.
