The first week of June is the annual Maritime Gig Festival. The fishing fleet gathers in the center of Gig Harbor Bay for the annual Blessing of the Fleet ceremony.
Large groups, families, and kids will enjoy Gig Harbor City Park. The park is popular for family reunions, work picnics, and group gatherings. A play area for kids, baseball diamond, and basketball and tennis courts for enjoyment. There is a large wooden picnic shelter with fresh water and a fireplace for community use. The Park is also located next to a stream with many educational plaques for stream conservation.
